Why did I choose to offer my photographs as limited editions?

The digital era and the rise of artificial intelligence have profoundly changed the way we consume images and art. Today, how can we truly take the time to appreciate work of art?

A simple refresh of a social media feed is enough for the image you were admiring just moments ago to disappear, swallowed by an endless stream of content we can no longer tell is real or artificial. How many photographs are sitting in your phone that you will never look at again? Attention shifts, pleasure fades, and what once mattered quickly becomes part of the past.

This reflection, almost philosophical, led me to want to return to something more essential. To a time when, as a child, we brought our film rolls to be developed, turning moments of life into tangible memories. This is why I enjoy having prints and photobooks by photographers I admire at home, and why they are without a doubt the objects I have looked at the most over the years.
Why? Because they are real. They physically exist. And above all, because they are unique.

Decades later, at a time when my profession is evolving in a world where technology deeply alters our relationship with images, objects, and their perceived value, I chose to limit my prints.
Offering limited editions is a way to give time back to the image, presence back to the object, and meaning back to photography.

I believe it is time to take images out of our phones and give them a place on our walls again. Where they belong.
